  • NSW SOLD '07 Octavia Wagon 1.9 TDI Manual $10k ono

For sale is my beloved Octy Wagon, current milage 160,000 km.

CAR IS NOW FOR SALE - Grab a great family car - nothing to spend - turn key and enjoy!

Had this car since Aug 2011. Absolutely fantastic vehicle. Everything works. Its an Ambiente model, which was base line trim, but see the list below for specs.

I have fitted upgraded VNT-17 and its VIEZU tuned. Runs beautifully, returns staggeringly good economy. Lots of midrange punch for overtaking and such. It has not been run on a dyno, but lets just say its as fast as a 2.0L.

    Current features:

    1.9l TDI (BXE engine code)
    5 speed manual
Golf mk5 GT sport seats (like GTI but understated colours )
ANS-810 touchscreen nav/dvd/cd headunit, 400W Pioneer amp and 12" Sub (does not use any boot space!)
    17" Audi Ronal Alloys, 17x7.5 ET34
Super Pro Alloy wishbones and bushes
    Dyna-mat throughout
Stainless exhaust (not loud, but lovely )
    Eibach Pro kit springs
    OEM bilstein shocks (15,000km old)
Golf GTI brakes (front) including 55mm strut conversion.... new wheel bearings etc (15,000km ago). Brakes colourcoded in Skoda Green.
Timing belt and water pump service done at 145,000km, so your right till 280,000km (ish).
    Provent 200 fitted
EGR delete done (looks factory, but no gunking up the manifold!) Deleted in tune, so no errors or codes.
    HID Fog lights
Rhino Lip on the front bar
Factory Towbar and wiring (all works, correctly coded)
    Rear parking sensors
    Kufatec E-MFA
Steppermotor Boost and EGT gauges (matching lighting with instruments)

Serviced religiously and lovingly by myself every 7500km since I bought it at 91,000km. OEM filters and Penrite Enviro + used exclusively.

CONS: The paint has some chips as you would expect in a car of this many km, and there are a few very small dents (like hail damage dents) in a couple of spots on the car. Overall the car presents extremely well.

REASON FOR SALE: We have purchased another car. The Skoda is a wonderful, magnificent car, but we don't use it all that much and I am ready for a new toy.

    PRICE: CIRCA $11k.

This car presents extremely good value for money. You wont find any car that is this nice to drive, this economical, this practical, for such low running costs, anywhere. Period. Its the perfect family wagon. Thinking of kids? This is for YOU. Need more boot space? This is for YOU. Want a cool black wagon? You get the idea.

PM or call me if interested... Zero-Four-22819095. I am negotiable on price and bits included - Note I have original seats in good condition.

Hi. I'm quite interested in this car if it's still for sale in March.
I'm moving back home from OS with 2 kids and this would be the ideal family wagon.

Just a quick question, have you had any issues with injectors on the 1.9?
I was looking at a 2l TDi B6 Passat and they have lots of issues with injectors failing apparently.
          Cheers,

            Hey Locky,
The 1.9 is basically immune to the injector problems that plagued the 16V 2.0L diesels, as the injector wiring loom is of a totally different design.

Its one of the reasons I bought the car in the first place - the most problem free engine available

Also note I made a mistake on the milage.... See how much I drive this now.... I thought it was just ticking over 170,000km, in fact its only just reached 160k.

Just spent the evening doing oil change service

Thanks mate, yeah I have heard bugger all issues with the 1.9 TDi.
Km's is no issue- low for a 7 year old car. We managed 90,000 in 2 1/2 year on our Fiesta!!.

The main thing is my wife is an Auto driver - so I'd need to push her to learn how to drive a manual!!
              Thanks for the info!!

Locky, I wont go into off topic details here, but the affected problematic injector B6's were recalled and fixed. Ours was.

Thanks kaanage - Yes I came to a crossroads with the car, and I just decided better to move on while its still a great car for someone rather than start modifying it in ways that would make it less 'nice'. Every moment of my exertions on this car so far has been trying to make it nicer to drive and more luxurious than factory. If I start down the power development path, it would be going the other way and it would no longer be such a good car to live with and depend on.

The best Octavia on carsales for sure.

I just wish I could persuade my mrs to learn to drive a Manual!!

                              Good luck with the sale.
