  • NSW [SYD] 2004 VW MkIV Golf R32 - Deep Blue Pearlescent

    The time has come...
I have had the joy of being the owner of this unique and special vehicle (Number 55) for a little over 4 years. I’ve come to a point where I want to re-concentrate my assets towards more worthwhile endeavours. I work in the city and live by a train station (a dream really). Even when I had it, she was rarely ever used for daily peak hour duties – I simply despise traffic. Cars were meant to be for the open road, not stuck in traffic.
I bought this back in 2009 from a lovely gentleman in Melbourne. Car was immaculate when I got it and still is pretty close to it. Car had 64,000kms when I bought it and had ALL the receipts and records of work. I am a mechanic by trade and subsequently carried out all modifications, works and maintenance myself.

Even the detailing was done by myself and also help from a friend when the complete detail was done 18 months ago maybe? Full treatment:
    1. Wash
    2. Clay
    3. Wash
    4. Rotary polish, Random orbital polish – several stages combined
    5. Wash, IPA wipe down
    6. Duragloss 601
    7. Duragloss 111
    8. Duragloss 105
    9. Dodo Juice Blue Velvet

Since then, the last love it had to the skin was clay, and wolfs shine and seal and then hard body.
I poured much time and money into this over the years, no regrets, but in hindsight maybe! I really did slow down driving it I would say in the last 2 years. Anyway, below is a list of upgrades.

    • 120, xxx kms
    • 10 months registration remaining
    • APR Tune
    • Custom Catback exhaust system
    • Dieselgeek 6 Speed Short shifter
    • 19” SSR SP1 3 piece wheels – F: 19” x 8” R: 19” x 9”
    • H&R Stud conversion. Hang wheels on studs, no jerking around with lug bolts and lengths, a bit more flexibility with spacers
    • Upgraded dogbone mount
    • Upgraded engine mounts
    • EBC Red stuff front pads
    • EBC Green stuff rear pads
    • New Front discs, fresh rear discs
    • HPA SHS Coilovers (front inserts are brand new too)
    • Gruvenparts adjustable rear control arms
    • H&R Rear Sway Bar
    • Front bumper washer delete, shaved
    • Seat Cupra R Lip
    • JVC Double Din Colour MP3, USB, CD HU
    • KVW100
    • Front Continental ExtremeContact DW tyres and Rear Toyo Proxxes 4 tyres
    • Optional: Recaro seats from an EVO5 with the mounting hardware

    Spares
    • 2 spare Continental ExtremeContact DW tyres
    • OEM audio head unit with 6 disc changer
    • OEM taillights
    • Spare wing mirrors (black)
    • Adams front rotors, slotted and dimpled
    • OEM springs (I think)
    • Should have suspension refresh kit minus ball joints, steering tie rod end and strut mounts
    • Filters, cabin charcoal filter

    For full disclosure:
    • Rear spoiler has a bit of scuff damage as a result of a bulkhead in a parking lot (really was not concentrating and no warning either)
    • The cupra lip is structurally perfect but has some scuffs on the bottom edge (it is kind of low!)
    • Some of the wheels have incurred some lip scuffing either by me, missus or from last owner. They still look fantastic though. The stickers have also worn off.
    • Lost the umbrella, have the all invoices, receipts, logbook and keyring!

    Maintenance:
    • Serviced every 7,500km using full synthetic oil and OEM filters
    • Haldex filter and oil, diff, transmission fluids were all replaced as required by service schedule.

See this obsessive log and record I have kept to the best of my ability:

    Car's diary is located here:
A place for our new members to introduce themselves and their ride. Your first post MUST be in this section.

I have worked out the additional features/upgrades to be at a cost of more than $8,000. I have requested a premium over the ‘other’ ones on the market for these reasons:
    • Additional features and extras
    • 10 months+ registration remaining
    • Low mileage
    • Blue is the colour to have, isn’t it?
    • Unique looking, head turning results

    Asking $25,000 ONO.

No trades, and please no low balling. I am not in a rush to sell, though I would welcome a quick sell. The car is not financed and I bought it outright from 2009. Car is in Sydney. Email me at dainese01 at gmail dot com
Mobile number given out to those that contact me through PM or email first.

I've taken way too many photos of this thing over the years. Sorry about the disorganised nature of the post and photos. The photos are not in chronological order, though the car has not changed much in the last year or two. Most notable are tyre changes, minor changes, seats etc. Still shines and gleams and puts many newer cars to shame for depth and gloss in paint colour.

    Videos:

Custom catback exhaust from the States. Not my preferred sound, but the performance increase was hard to ignore. So much so, I sold the old OEM one to Dylan

Immaculate example and it would appear it's mechanically perfect. Hope it finds a good home as it deserves another one!
