  • NSW 1995 Golf VR6 for sale

    Hi There
Up for sale is my 1995 Golf VR6 Manual, 186,000k's, Feb 14 rego.
I brought it as a non runner (NBG Gearbox) and then brought a second spares car to get it on the road.

    Good Points
Engine, gearbox has 136,000 k's (can verify with speedo in spares car)
    Bigger rotors/calipers off OBD2 car
New front tyres, 85% rears (205/40/17)
    New Battery
    Air Box mod (sounds super)
Engine oil/filter, gearbox oil (Redline $40 a litre) replaced 2000k's ago
Sony Cd/MP3 player with Sony Front splits and Amp + 12' sub
    Remus Exhaust
Lowered front springs, matching rears in spares car (wouldn't pass blue slip with rears in)
Genuine Hella Dark, 4 headlight setup configured for RHD
    Genuine Hella Factory front fogs

    Bad Points
Keyed on RHS front/rear door and rear 1/4 panel and some scratches and chips
    wheels have kerb rash
    Interior showing signs of age
some body moulding missing (all parts on spares car)
    Heater core NBG and bypassed
    demister controls not working correctly
RHS key barrel not on car have to lock and unlock from LHS front door (still have in garage)
Can be a bit temperamental to start (can take 3 attempts to start, but when running goes well)

I am moving this on as I have 5 cars and have enjoyed it and I wont give a car with this HP to my son (he still has 6 years to wait anyways), I have been 100% honest with what this car is, it's a fun car that always makes me smile when I drive it.

The spares car has all the parts required to complete the build (body trim, some interior bits) the spares car is $500

    Price $3500

It fires but won't stay running until the 2nd or 3rd start then runs fine, oil light goes out on 1st partial start of the motor.

Rev the engine after it starts , if it dies and sounds like there is no compression your oil pump is kaput

Went and did that after the engine fires it revs fine immediately after start up, wouldn't a NBG oil pump give me other issues as well like destroying the engine if it was run too long. I was thinking something to do with cold start as it only happens when the car is stone cold its fine when warm. I have done about 2300km's since I installed this motor.

The gearing within the oil pump will be fine , its the pressure releif valve thats worn causing the whole oil system to over pressurize and leave valves open too long , thus making it harder to start .
