Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW For Sale Mk1 Scirocco, registered running but needs lot work

Very Unfortunately , I am selling my 1976 mk1 Scirocco
Silvery Blue , Registered till end Sept , I drive it daily [ and Love it ] but is only spare motor in it at moment.
Was preparing to rebuild the 1628 cc.
    Location : Liverpool , NSW , Australia ,
    Price : $ 4000
Contact : on here and will Private message Details to interested peoples.

This car has lot of potential but needs work and money to get it there, and I just dont have the finances to make it what it should be.

It can be driven just as it is , I will get Pink Slip for it if needed for purchaser. It looks good, is Nice Different car thats fun to drive and really special. Just enjoying the car with minimal expense , maybe put better motor in it.
Or Fully restored or made into Stunning Custom car.
It is a Car that will Probably Go Up in Value.
This is a Good example of this model in probably better condition than you would expect for age.
    Cheers , Glenn

Please Note : I am Supplying Brand New Dash board with this car, need to get it out of storage and get pic of it.
Roof is faded because I over buffed the thin paint - I am suppyling same colour Paint which can be used to spray this if desired.
Bonnet looks ok in pic but has blisters from me burning with buff - so it looks good from afar , but is far from good .

          Passenger Side
          [IMG][/IMG]

Looks fine but... fine detail = some tiny rust spots, Damage from some jerk that put jack in wrong place.
The floor on this side has been professionally replaced like 12 years ago, So no rust in floor but some minor rust in sill area around damage. Treated and repaired but just saying its not perfect .... Sob . sob, Just damn good looking car for age.
