Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Maybe try listing it on ebay. put a highish reserve and see what the bidding gets up to.

used cars are getting difficult to sell, took me a while to sell my Polo GTI, Bora's seem to be really undervalued which is bad for you.

After selling the polo I was looking for a v5 Bora not long ago, found a gem 2004 v5 sport with 111k km listed at $8k. it was mint, I knew that Bora's are difficult to sell so I offered him $5k, (wasnt expecting to get it that cheap), didn't hear from him for 2 weeks then got a reply 2 weeks later saying he would accept my offer by which time I bought a 2006 for focus zetec for similar money. (would rather the bora, but the focus was a sensible choice, and it was too cheap to pass up).

Try ebay, its a good measure to tell you where the market is at.

        Good luck with the sale.

Yeah might be an idea to try eBay..
I've come to the realisation that 4mo Boras are hard to sell because only a small amount of people want them

            Re: 2001 Bora V6 4Motion

When i was sellingn the bagged mk3 I advertised it everywhere, in the end it sold on boostcruising believe it or not. This also came with hundreds of swap offers for fishbowls and the like, but my point is advertising it everywhere is the way to go, never know what will happen... cant hurt to put it on eBay

              Bump!

Cars rather going to get traded into a dealership or going on ebay with a very low reserve

So if anyone wants it, make me an offer...

Would you part any of it?

Such a shame to trade it.

Seriously guys, I can't be offended. All I can say is no

I'm going to a few dealerships to see what trade price I can get, but I really really don't want to trade it. I would much rather the car sell privately to someone who actually wants it

Also, if anyone from QLD/NSW/VIC wants it.. I'll happily drive it to you. I'll be going to both Sydney and Melbourne soon! Even sooner if I'm dropping a car off on the way

I thought about parting out a few mods, But I really couldnt be bothered and I think it'll be better keeping as it is to sell

MSG me if you want to politely low ball me

                          Bump....

Lots of interest.. but no one actually coming to look at the car. Need someone to buy it

                          Price is very very negotiable

My wife's car crapped itself last week and she's driving mine at the moment. I've been looking at Boras but the V5 as she drives across the city for work and needs something with reasonable economy, however I also want to get her something that's comfortable and well appointed and your car certainly fills that bill.

If you are in Melb next week then I'd be very interested to see if we could do a deal.

I won't be in melb until maybe mid next month. It has to be sold by the end of May. So unless you wanted to organise something asap, I don't think it'll really work!

I've ran out of time to sell the car unfortunately

                                Wooo!!!!!

99% deal done. Just waiting for the final payment, and for me to acquire the rwc

Funny how in the past week I've had so much interest, yet for the weeks beforehand, no one even enquired. Always the way.....
