  • VIC EOI - 1998 Audi A3 1.8t

More of an EOI than anything but contemplating something a bit different (dw, still a VAG car)

Up for grabs is my '98 A3 1.8t
    ~150k on the clock
    5sp manual
    Black
    Leather interior
    Sunroof
    Stage 1 tune (custom code)
    fk street coilovers
    Powerflex dogbone mount
Neuspeed p-flo intakeNew ECS stage 1 clutch at approx 135,000kms
    steering column mounted boost gauge
Wrinkle black valvecover and intake mani
Timing belt/waterpump/new plugs and packs/oil change (all filters as well) done at approx 150,000kms (think its on 152xxx now)
a whole bunch of other goodies have been done to the car (facelift headlights with HIDs, audio, semi-cleaned/shaved bay etc)

will come with a RWC and reg until late Feb 2014
17x9/17x12 widened steelies will also be included as well as thule roof racks for the right price
would be looking at say.. $7k?
    pretty neg

    finally some photos

first few photos are with my old wheels - last couple of photos are with the 17" steelies, the last one being with the widened ones on - have a set of bolt on flares to make them somewhat legal - all have pretty much brand new tyres
the arches have been rolled/pulled and aren't too easy on the eyes but the bolt ons would cover this

any enquiries contact me (elton) on 0433371332
    inspections/questions welcomed

Note - only have this up as I am currently getting a rwc to clear a defect (too low, wheels etc. didnt have the flares on so were uncovered/poking) so will only have this up for the next 28 days. If it doesn't sell not too phased. Just good timing as easy to transfer with valid roadie. The $7k price tag is VERY negotiable. Just a starting point.
          Thanks

thanks buddy, spent this weekend putting the flares on as well as those -1 degree camber shims i got off dylan god knows how long ago... car looks THAT much better in person at the moment i must say, but man those 17x12 steel wheels weigh a tonne!!

So now that the flares are on, are those rims technically legal?

they sit in the guards and the car is at legal height, so yes. but technically no due to the width they are over stock rim size (i think its one or two inches wider than whatever the widest wheel the car was released from factory with...? which is (i think) 18x8 but need to confirm)

feel free to chime in if someone knows what the deal is, but anyway to get pulled up on this technicality is highly unlikely, they dont poke, they dont scrub and the car isn't too low. perfect.
