QLD Rare mk1 golf gli cabriolet for sale

For Sale is my beloved 1981 Golf GLI Cabriolet.
The car is the rare Karmann GLI model (same mechanicals as Mk1 GTI including 81kw heron head motor and close ratio 5 speed gearbox etc) and is a collector’s item. It was imported new to Australia in 1981. The car comes with the original sales documents and comprehensive history from new.
Wonderful condition for age, unmodified other than wheels.
Fully rebuilt matching numbers "EG" 1.6 with new heron pistons. The engine was fully balanced and has done about 8,000km. Cost many thousands to rebuild, runs beautifully.
Rebuilt fuel injection system.
New fuel pump etc etc.
The car has the super rare roof rack and the original instructions for use.
New tyres.
The body and paint is in great shape. Very slight, non-structural rust above boot which would be very easy to repair otherwise rust free.
The roof is in great condition with no tears or holes.
The interior is tidy and presents well and has been well looked after from new.
The car has a QLD safety certificate and 6 months rego.

Never seen this before...Does the roof touch it when its opened?

The rack hinges forward so the roof can open. It was a pretty slick option. I have looked at other forums and apparently they are as rare as hens teeth. The original owner told me he optioned it to carry his sail board.....
