The time has come to sell the beast, my VW Golf 1980 4 Door has to go. (orginally GLD)
Engine - 8V Big Bore 2litre (Built by Peter Shelley Canberra VW Centre) with down draft webber producing 110HP at the wheels (Dyno proven by Crossley Racing & Engineering Brisbane). orginally fuel injected head not kjet, however is plated off at present
4 Speed box
good drive shaft boots
Car was professionally re-sprayed in 2008
Brand New SPAX racing springs with pedders and king struts
Holden VP front calipers with Mk3 discs
no interior except for side skirts
OMP engine bay sway bar
Viper Rims with Simmex tyres 80% tread
Custom Hot Dog racing exhaust system
GTI Grill and Lights
Brand New Battery
Copper fuel lines
baffled tank
has usual spot of rust under passenger side winscreen however easily repairable
Car comes with Mk 1 dash with no cracks or optional mk2 dash with no cracks. Mk2 dash includes custom tacho cluster set up after market volts, oil and water pressure, Porche 911 Revs and Mk1 speedo, new fuel gauge and fuel sender kit - to be in stalled.
Car is running and only needs front bumper, carpet and roadworthy for rego. It will pass a RWC.
It is sad to offer this car for sale as i have owned since i was 15 and i am now 30 however due to being made redunant in Jan and already building a mk1 2 door hill climber the pressure needs to come off.
I have alot of parts available including turbo exaust manifold, KKK turbo, fuel injected intake with butterfly valves, 1.8 kjet engine etc for sale in parts section - the turbo set up has not been finished and does come at extra $$$
$4400 without mk2 dash set $5000 ono with
