Mate your ad here, and your ad on gumtree are hugely mis-informed and poorly advertised. My old mk1 doesnt have 'stanceworks' coilovers, heck stanceworks dont even make parts :S Neither is it a 2E Engine. If you look closely its a ADZ from a seat cordoba. Nor are the brakes 'mk3'. Fronts are mk2 vented gti with gti carriers. Rears are standard. In your gumtree add, you mention a whole heap of s*** that isnt remotely true - such as vr6 radiator, 'WRX' seats and all the rest of it. I'd advise people to double check everything you say.

Fair enough mate, maybe he does have the engine in his garage, but your argument is still invalid. It says orange golf #1 and lists a 2e and mk3 brakes and so forth under that heading. So ... dunno what you're on about.

As for sending it off to the tip is a damn shame! Absolutely spewing about the cluster and dash, they were immac , if you have the cluster id love to buy it back. The suspension, brakes, engine, gearbox, carb, mani, exhaust, seats, headliner took me years and lots of $ to find. Cannot believe it just got crushed :S
