  • QLD 78 Mk1 Golf GLD- Sooty

After much debate Ive finally come to the decision its time to let sooty go, hes been a perfect daily for me for that past year But I am now after a van/ute to haul around my dirtbike
Most of you would have seen sooty at some point (and a couple off here owned him previously too including a magazine feature a while ago)
I always keep Sooty maintained with regular oil changes and filters
Have just done a complete coolant flush using genuine G12+ coolant also while i was there replaced the oil filter etc
Have updated the front brakes to Mk1 Gti Spec from Camden GTi
Replaced front wheel bearings and tie rods

Have Most receipts for parts labour etc Spent on sooty since owning him
Replaced the rear exhaust with a 2" pipe and a hi flo muffler, its not loud and annoying
Being a diesel he uses bugger all fuel, I average around 4.5-5.5 litres per hundred which is great considering it cost $50 to fill and last nearly a month

Will be sold with what ever spares i have which is quit a few, centre console twin grill, cables belts etc
Last week the speedo cable decided to throw a cog so that will need replacing hopefully cable arrives before sale
Has a tiny bit of rust under rear glass (usual spot ) apart from that the rest of the car is virtually rust free
Wont have a RWC or the Plates on it when sold but if you supply one il give u the rest of the rego and pay to have standard plates fitted
Also currently wheels wont be sold with the car, will have the GTi alloys fitted upon sale with near new tred
and a full set of sprayed black mk1 steelies as spares too
Check the link for whatever pics you may want

Msg me on 0421572671 for any questions

Looking for offers around 4k will consider swapping for a transporter with a bit of cash on top
Mainly After another diesel that will fit a bike in the back
