  • VIC Time to say farewall... MY03 MK4 GTI

Hi everyone! As much as it saddens me, due to the purchase of a new Golf R, it's time to say farewell to our much loved MK4 GTI. Build September 2002 complied January 2003 and was delivered April 2003. We purchased it as the second owner in 2007 and have loved it like a child.
The car is in excellent condition with no major body damage (only thing to note is a dent under the drivers door sill) and very few chips or marks for a car that's travelled 166000 km's. Interior is also in excellent condition with no marks, tears or major wear spots in the seats - I would say it's perfect except for the normal wear on the plastic around the ignition and shifter surround (that soft plastic that scratches oh so easy ). Car has the (imo) nicer black and grey sports seats and factory sunroof.

The ugly factory woodgrain has been replaced with OEM R32 brushed aluminium around the climate control, cup holders, door handles and dash gauges, as well as R32 pedals, gear knob and floor mats. I've also fitted a factory look Revo boost gauge in an SWG drivers vent.
The factory head unit has been replaced with a JVC 7" touch screen DVD with bluetooth, ipod and USB inputs and also fitted with aftermarket reverse camera.

Car has BBS CH 18" rims with near new Kumho KU31 rubber (fitted November 2012). The wheels unfortunately have gutter rash, but otherwise look great.
The car has been lowered with H&R springs and the handling further improved with a Whiteline adjustable sway bar.
Front and rear valances have been colour coded along with R32 OEM rear spoiler.
Headlights have been replaced with Hella Celis and Philips HID's.

Performance wise, the car has been updated with:
Custom CAI with smoothed airbox and BMC filter
Eurojet SMIC and silicone intake hose
    Eurojet silicone TIP
APR R1 diverter valve, N75J wastegate
Custom 2.5" turbo back exhaust with stainless Magnaflow twin tip muffler
    Upgraded dog bone mount
    OptimumCode ECU tune (Thanks Gav!)
ECS Stage 1 lightened fly wheel and VR6 clutch
    New battery (December 2012)

Car has a full VW specialist service history serviced every 10,000 km's with major service, timing belt and water pump replaced at 160k along with all receipts. Both front windows have had regulators replaced to fix the known plastic clip issue. Car has 2.5 keys (.5 is an uncut uncoded key). Car has 12 months rego (April 2014(

I'm really hoping this car will go to a VW enthusiest that will car for and appreciate the car like we have, so i'm posting it here before it goes to Carsales.
Looking for $11,900 and car can be viewed in Rowville or Mulgrave. Please PM for further contact details or with any questions. More photos available on request.

Thanks guys, will definitely be sad to see it go. I do love the R, but it doesn't have personality like this one.

Thanks everyone. There's been some interest through Carsales, but i'm still hoping for a local Dub nut to give it a good home

So unfortunately the finance of a purchaser fell through, so car is still for sale.
