NSW Wanted: Mk1 golf gld

I'm putting the feelers out now as it might take a while.

After a cheap daily, and have decided on a mk1 golf GLD, will also consider a mk3 golf diesel but they appear to be even harder to find.

Something in NSW that is registered, or wouldn't need much for rego.

I'm OK with doing some mechanical work, but the body and paint need to be fairly straight.

plus $4k is too steep for me, considering what GLD's have sold for in the past.

In all fairness $4k is a pretty decent price, this car is bloody mint mate, I can vouch for it, if my rebuild comes up like this I will be stoked!

It is tidy, but by the time I get it over to NSW and put rego on it then its more like $5.5k. (assuming it doesn't need anything done to it to pass over the pits). That's huge money for an original mk1 golf that doesn't have 16 valves or 3 doors.
