Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD FS: Expression of interest '78 MK1 Golf

Just posting this to see if anyone is interested in buying my 1978 MK1 Golf.

It is a GLD but has been converted to a 1.6 Passat engine. Still has 4speed gearbox, radator, fuel tank, brakes from the diesel. All fluids have been replaced recently, as we as most ignition parts.
Unfortunately the odometer isn't working, has 36****kms on chassis, unknown amount on new petrol engine.

Installed a set of Weitec GT coilovers, they are semi camber adjustable but fully height adjustable.

Has brand new 185/70/13R Bridgestones on freshly painted BBS Mahles, rear brakes need wheel cylinders which I can provide. A mounted a replica GTI lip has been bolted onto the car. Roof racks are less than a month old and were around $200. JVC head unit is installed.

Car has rust in the usually places, will show in the pictures provide , would come up
    Its the little things..
Working...
