Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD FS Mk4 Golf Bris - man, 1.6L

    Hi all,
The time has come to sell our much loved Mk4 Golf. It's a 2002 model, made in Germany, not S.A.
manual 1.6L, 60k km, always garaged and very well looked after. Dark blue in colour
Over the last 18months it's had the timing belt done, water pump, new seals, brakes done, all belts replaced, all fliuds replaced etc in addition to regular servicing, plenty of tread on the tires. This car is in great condition with low klms. I'm the third owner.

It has all the usual kit, electric windows, Air con, VW radio/CD, tinted windows, power steer etc.
A few non factory extras including mud flaps, dash pad, weather shields on all windows.

I bought it as a second car for our parents, as they are both now retired they they rarely drive it. The plan was for it to become my partners daily driver, but it seems the old air cooled VW's are in our blood and we've decided to stick with what we have and sell the Golf.
We bought this car due to it's low klm and good condition, and we've maintained it well since.
The car currently has 5 mths QLD rego. A road worthy will be arranged prior to sale.

Car is in Brisbane (north side)
    We're asking $11,000.
Any enquiries, please PM or email cathrich@ tpg com au
    Thanks for looking,
    Richard

Still not working. Try right clicking on the photo and from the drop down menu; copy image location/copy image address

Then in here click the image button and paste the code in there. As long as the image code has [img] [/img] it should work.

Hop that's better. Thanks for your help!!

No enquiries, so is it just the wrong time of year to sell, price un-realistic? Happy for feed back.

Might be the price as you can get a lightly modded MK4 GTI with low to mid ks for $10k
MK1 floG soon to have 16v 2L with cable change gbox - need a 16v turbo manifold

"Fit the gearbox ya bum." Loon - best post ever!

Hmm, I see what you mean on prices looking around, mk4's are still getting cheaper. I'm used to my old VW's, they are increasing in price over time
