Hey all,
I'm selling my mk2 Golf GTI as I never have time to drive it, and am now selling both my cars to fund one fun daily driver. The Golf was bought as a project to build up into a track car, however it's only been to the track once (will be going again 15th December if you want to check it out).
Details:
1991 Golf GTI
275,000km's
4 Door
Silver
8v Motor
Price: $3,900 with roadworthy
Rego runs out end of December.
Contact: Via PM
I have spent a lot on this car, here are some of the highlights:
Slotted discs front and rear
Redstuff brake pads front and rear
FK Silverline X Coilovers
Braided lines front
Timing belt and tensioner just replaced
Momo steering wheel
Advan AO48 semi slicks (done 2,000km's)
Autech short shifter
New windscreen, battery, fuel filter, plus, leads, ecu, gear shift parts
And main parts replaced:
* Spark plug, Bosch 4477, $23
* Dipstick $3
* Dipstick funnel $1.66
* Fuel filter $12.25
* Aero Wiper blade assembly x 2 $30
* Bushing, throttle cable $2.75
* Upper strut mount x2 $24.40
* Bosch Ignition Wire set $45
* 256mm slotted discs $120
* 226mm slotted discs $105
* Redstuff fronts $80
* Redstuff rear $70
* FK Silverline X Coilovers $1150
* Brake fluid dot4 $9
* Battery cradle + hold downs $20
* Rear wheel bearings $30
* Front wheel bearings $60
* Momo Monte Carlo $190
* Momo hub adapter $110
* Yokohama A048 Semi Slicks $996
* Windscreen $245
* ECU $105
* Battery $143
* Coolant hoses/sensors/etc $170
* Braided brake lines $72
* PCV Parts $83
* Magnetic sump plug $10
* Rocker cover gasket $15
* Timing belt/tensioner replaced $315
* New side skirt $200
* Autotec short shift kit $54
* Shift linkage kit $50
* K&N Filter $46
* Synthetic trans oil $38
So basically I've replaced everything that moves on the car, and now it drives well. All the rubber pipes in the engine bay, cooling related bits, etc etc.
The bad:
- It's a 21 year old car so it's a bit rough sometimes, but I've driven it on a VW cruise for 5 hours straight and it was perfect
- Aircon doesn't work - might need regassing?
- No stereo
A few pics:
