Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • ACT SEAT Ibiza Cupra $3500

Hi guys, I purchased this a couple of months ago as a daily drive/donor car for my 16v mk1 Golf project. I have since sourced another complete engine for the Golf and can no longer justify having the Cupra just to drive.
    It's a 1998 model with ~136,000k's. NSW rego till July 2013.
Good service history, with receipts including a $1200 service in July this year. It was also passed fro NSW rego at that time, so little or nothing will require attention for a rego inspection, tyres included.
The Paint is good although there is a few minor dents on the bonnet and a decent ding in the drivers front fender (pictured) it could do with a cut and polish, but it came up pretty good with just a quick wash for the photos.
The wheels are another story and could use a refurb/repaint.
Interior is tidy, although I do own a dog.
The motor has had some minor head work a few years ago at Camden Gti and runs a KR cam. (receipt included)
It's a solid little car that drives and handles well.
The car has been fitted with a few mods by previous owners including a pod, front and rear strut braces, Sparco pedal set and a Sony amp.
Priced to Sell at $3000 Firm.
The vehicle is located in Hackett, ACT
