This car’s chassis is rusted out, I have kept it for the following parts with the idea that I would return
to the mk1 fold and rebuild a mk1. I have stored this car for 5 years about 9 months ago I ran out of
space and it has lived in my back yard under a tarp. I am redoing the yard so its really time to go. I am not keen to break this car up I don't have the time to deal with multiple sales etc.
Car no longer runs as the fuse box is corroded and for this price I am not spending anytime getting it
going or testing anything/taking more photos etc. Last time it ran I hardwired a spare coil straight to
the battery and was running rough. Don't know where the keys are either. It was running OK about 5 years ago……..
Chrome bars in ok condition fairly straight etc.
Sway bars – GTI front and rear
Window seals for all fixed windows (aftermarket no chrome)
Fixed ¼ windows
Boss kit for steering wheel
Decent Grey velour hood lining
Custom heavy duty clutch and lightened/balanced fly small 8v flywheel approx. 1700pnds
1600, FN engine, high compression and head work – STD cams and springs reinstalled, some
polished parts that are now tarnished… used to run a 270 cam
8V Neuspeed adjustable cam sprocket
Some re-trimmed std seats
2 autometer gauges in centre console – oil pressure and water temp
Extractors
Has some other bits like Koni’s but they are probably stuffed by now
The car is used to store some plastic MK1 and Small MK2 bumpers and MK2
upper front panel (bit around lights etc) (mixed condition).
Deal is I pull the number plates off, you give me $ and you take the whole car and the parts that live inside it. Needs
to be put on a trailer and handbrake/brakes not working. Is a donor only, it is rusted in all the bad places. I would not try and salvage any panels except the front right guard and perhaps the bonnet.
