Up for sale is my '95 Golf MK3 GL 2.0l 8v (manual of course)
Comes in titanium grey (Really nice metallic silver with a hint of blue), with electric windows all round, remote central locking, electric mirrors, hight adjustable coilovers (advertised drop of 20-120mm, but they can easily be dropped to about 150mm.
I'm looking for $4000, and as i have no doubts it will fly through roadworthy, for Victorians, it will include roadworthy.
This car has served me well over the last year and a half of ownership. It has been meticulously maintained, having had new thermostat, new heater matrix and the air con just re-gassed this thing blows nicest hot for the winter months and icy cold for summer.
In the last 12 months, the car has had the following:
New engine mounts
Coilovers (with new strut top mounts and bearings) as the stock shocks had gone.
New battery was installed 9 months ago and performs perfectly
Brand new front electric window regulators (all work well)
Remote central locking module fitted
New Headlining
New CV joints
New Exhaust
New Gearshift bushes to remove the sloppiness
New Brake master cylinder
New Coilpack
Mk4 Gear knob and Gaiter
Headlights have been replaced with halo projectors
New fuel pump
Brand new Heater matrix (i think everyone knows how much of a bi*ch it is to do)
and more
Front coilovers were fitted less than a month ago and have only travelled 200km tops. Rears are in the process of getting fiitted, waiting for them to arrive in the mail.
Brand new tyres were fitted for the roadworthy last April, and have only covered 3000kms, as this car was only used as a second car, so there is approx 85% left of tread on them.
The pedal box broke a couple of months ago, in the usual place where the clutch cable is held, so it was taken out, and not only re-welded, but also reinforced to stop it happening again.
Car has an indicated 50K on the clock, but I suspect it may have had new clocks fitted (actual millage is 119,000km, service invoice for proof), it had 45K on it when I bought it from someone who also had it as a second car. It sure drives like a low mileage car, and having just had a full service, including plugs, oil, filters, starts straight away, and runs great. Engine gets up to temp as it should and remains rock steady, even in standing traffic, so there are no issues with the cooling system. This thing blows nice and hot for the winter months and icy cold for the summer.
The interior is in great condition, as is the exterior. There are a few minor dings and the odd scratch here and there, but considering this car is 16 years old, it's pretty tidy.
Ok, what are the bad points I here you say, well, in all honesty, all i can think of is a small tear in the drivers seat bolster from wear and tear, and the timing belt needs to be replaced in the near future, and thats it.
This car has had all the hard work done to it, perfect for somebody that wants a reliable daily driver. This car is a good example of clean, unmolested Mk3.
It has rego until April 2013.
I haven't put it up anywhere else yet, I thought I'd see if anyone on the forum wanted it first.
Some pics, more to come when i get the rears coilovers fitted.

How it looked when stock (doesnt look that blue in person)

I'm not prepared to give it away, so I'm hoping its fairly priced. Like I say, it runs perfectly, and has 7 months rego on it, so ill happily keep it for 7 months before I let it go.
