  • NSW 1995 Mk3 Golf GL

A dark blue 1995 Golf GL with original steelies and manual transmission. In fact the only thing I can see not original is the Pioneer stereo system. It is complete with it's lower lip and rear spoiler. It's really nice to drive and ride in, with five good tyres, good gear box and rego to the very end of November. The 2.0L engine has travelled 199,000 kms (that's only just over 11,000 a year - quite low for it's age)

    I'll post more pictures soon.

We bought the car 2.5 years ago as my daughter's first car. In that time it's had
    • New clutch kit, cable, and gear lever arm bush.
    • Engine mounts
    • Rear brakes and wheel bearings
    • Front strut bushes
    • Lower control arm bushes
    • Transmission mount
    • Ignition switch
    • Various belts and hoses, oils, fluids, filters and greases

I have all the invoices (European specialist workshop) detailing the work done. The car is mechanically safe and sound and in need of upgrades of a convenience/aesthetic nature (in my opinion - but my standards of comfort and appearance are pretty high)

This car would better suit someone skilled enough to bring it up to scratch with a little DIY. Items such as
    • Power window regulators
    • Fix headlining
    • Speedo/instrument cluster replacing
    • Minor body work (if you want perfection)
    • Roof respray (clear is almost gone now)
    • Interior bits and pieces re-fixed

    $3,900 ONO

    PM me to arrange inspection.

So there hasn't been much interest. Your feedback is welcome. Is the price too high? Or is there just not much of a market for these old cars?
    Here are the promised pics.
