Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • SOLD 2002 Bora V6 4 motion

With the arrival of the Amarok my 2002 V6 4 motion Bora is up for sale.

    It's pretty well optioned up.
    • Blue haldex (Original unit included in sale as well)
    • Milltek cat back exhaust system. (Original exhaust too, if you want it)
    • Custom Code phase 1 software
    • Fujitsu Ten headunit (Bluetooth handsfree and Ipod control) CD5030 | CD Receiver | Products | ECLIPSE | Fujitsu Ten
    • Hayman Reese towbar
    • Urethane dogbone inserts.
    • LED globes in all the interior lights
    • Very loud air horn (can be reverted to stock horn easily if you prefer.)
    • Factory leather (cleaned and conditioned regularly)
    • New Beetle sunglass holder
    • Falken ZIEX ZE912 tyres
    • MK5 Carbon fibre gear shift knob. (original included)
    • additional LED lighting in boot.
    • LED parker globes in headlights
    • Cold air tube from stock filter box to lower grill.

During the time I've owned it all the usual aged components have been replaced.
    • All new coil packs
    • new oxygen sensors (all 4 of them!)
    • New MAF sensor
    • New gas struts on the bootlid.
    • Haldex serviced early with no signs of wear.
    • Worn CV boots.
    • Window switches on drivers door replaced.
    • Arm rest clip
    • Strut top bushes.
    • A/C serviced last summer and working well.
    • Sunroof switch replaced.

All in all it's a very reliable car with amazing performance, especially in the wet.

Body work maintained with AutoGlymm and Porboys World products.

Never been smoked in, the back seat has been used less than ten times in it's entire life!

I've got the filters and oil here for a final service before it goes.

Mileage is 133,500. We're the third owner. One executive owner and two VW enthusiast owners.

    The downsides
    • Paint could be better, I think the first owner used to put it through car washes a lot. There the sorts of chips you'd expect and a couple of minor scrapes.
    • One wheel has a couple of small scrapes. (See photos)
    • Front carpet mats are worn and one rear mat is missing a clip.

    I'm asking $12,000.

    Here's a bunch of photos.
