Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    QLD 04 Mk 4 Golf GTI For sale

    Hi all, i have this mark 4 Golf GTI For sale. It was my daily driver for five years. It has spent the last year garaged and not used only to get roadworthy and driven to keep engine fresh. All work has been carried out by myself, VW and German Engineering Services on Bribie Island. Work done has been done to the factory maintenance schedules. Things replaced with new are timing and accessory drive belts, tensioner and idler pulleys, waterpump with steel impeller, new brake pads and rotors. New coolant temp sender, new fuel pump, new ignition control module. Oil and filter changed every 5000k. All parts used are genuine VW. It still drives like new as i looked after it. Never abused it at all. Turbo is original and always let it idle down each time it was driven. It has 169000k on the clock but you couldn't tell when driving it. Windows are tinted to the darkest factory option. Has everything bar a sunroof. It is ready to go to a new home. Car is completely stock. I am asking $9000.
