Very sadly, the time has come to move the Mighty Bora on and I figured I'd see if maybe a forum member has any interest in her before some muppet from carsales snaps it up.
Carsales ad has all the info, and she is perfect and ready to throw another few hundred thousand kms at the road. She is sitting at 176,000kms right now. Minor services done at home every 10,000 or so kms with Castrol Edge Sport and Redline gbox fluid. I own a share in a service station and can promise you she only has ever had 98RON. Major services and repairs done under the skilful hands and eyes of Arthur at Exoticars.
She has been used mainly as my work vehicle, in that i do high kms travelling around selling a financial services platform to financial planners, and has just been brilliant to me. I'll frequently average 9.0L per 100kms on my city/highway mix.
Around 165,000 km the clutch slave cylinder went, so she has a new clutch and flywheel. Thats one of the major things out of the way for you - and as you know, the engine is bulletproof.
Mods:-
- Complete respray 2,000kms ago with matte black Plastidip. This peels off leaving no residue and would show a good-ish Black Magic Pearl paintjob with chrome accents if you wanted to revert to that.
- Custom-Code ECU tune - Massive difference in drivability
- Blue Haldex controller
- Dieselgeek shirt-shift kit
- New clutch and flywheel
- Audi 8l S3 17" rims, also sprayed in black matte but otherwise perfect condition
- EBC Red Stuff pads all round with Gloss black VHT calipers
- SRS-Tek bodykit (R32 look-a-like) with only front fitted so far
- R32 Sways F and R
- R32 steering wheel
- R32 gear shift
- R32 shocks and springs all round
- R32 exhaust from cat-back with flapper mod - sounds freaking amazing
- Audi TT pedals
- Modshack VTDA intake and K&N cone filter - also sounds amazing
- New MAF
- New Plugs
- New Coils
- New Battery
- New Metal propellor waterpump
- New coolant lines throughout
- 034 Motorsport Strut top Mounts
- ECS Stage 2 Suspension Refresh
- New Dogbount mount and HD bushes
- Tyrolsport brake caliper bushing
Rego till mid-November. Current personalised plates will not be on the car at the time of sale.
