I have decided to put up for sale my wifes 1996 mk3 golf 2 door.
Details:

Alloy wheels
Clarion mp3 drop down headunit
Sports exhaust - brand new
Work done in the last 10K K's (all genuine brand new vw parts from barloworld vw)
new shock absorbers and springs
new bump stops
new front disks and pads
new rear shoes and cylinders
reconditioned cv joints
new rear engine mount
new gearbox mount
new power steering bottle and hose.
new battery
new rocker cover gasket
new distributor cap and button
new spark plugs
new rear windscreen wiper assy
new front lip
new side repeaters
The car allso has a retrimmed black swede head lining, momo floor mats and seat covers
I have reciepts from vw totalling approximately 2500 dollars 1000 from mechanic and 250 for headlining.
I am only selling the car because we have had an offer to buy a family members car which is late model and bigger is size.
Some bad points:
the aircon needs a regas
has a small power steering leak (this does my head in considering we have replaced the hoses and bottle)
gearbox is a little and holds in gear for a short period of time but shifts fine, my mechanic said it needs a service as his daughter has the same car and it worked well after doing it.
the lights dont work in the centre console - air con controls.
The car has minor scratches and dings from day to day use but has always been looked after, cleaned and polished.
The car has approx 28 days rego left, i will provide a pink slip from my mechanic, it will pass with flying colours, has no rust at all either.
I may have to cancel the rego as it is on a disabled permit and i am unsure of the process, i will have to find out from the RTA.
All in all its a great car that drives as close as possible to a new mk3 in my opinion.
Asking price is 3000 ono i think this is really fair considering the ammount of work that has gone into it.
Located in Kensington. very close to VW village
