have you thought of the mk3? theres a 3 door mk3 on gumtree for 2.5k, that would make a sweet project and a great daily.

no rego, will need a blue slip, has coilovers, would come on mk3 steelies. it's a bit rough aroung the edges but it's a 2 door, 4 speed diesel, new clutch and gti flywheel. camden gti put the 4 speed in,has a big webber carbie.

My dad is looking to sell his '79 GLI. UK import, 1.6L K-jet Auto, 5door, original large rear tail light, big bumpers, arches, air con, later dash and interior etc. We resprayed it a long time ago, was a project but never fully finished it. All original apart from the mk2 seats inside. Kindo like a 5door GTI.
