1978 VW Golf GLS 128,000kms

The good
It is largely unmolested. Everything works and is standard (except for the steering wheel, black bonnet and colorcoded bumpers by PO.....)
Shocks and cv boots have been replaced and are good.
Tie rod and rack ends are good
ball joints are good
brakes pads are good
Hand brake works very well
Has new clutch (previous owner)
Tidy interior - no tears in the front seats, although the bolsters are a bit flat
Straight body with good doors, floorpans, sills boot.
The brakes lines that run under the carpet are good
Doesn't leak oil or coolant.
4 roadworthy tyres on std rims
The bad
Surface rust, mostly on roof
A-pillars show bubbles
THe car would maybe need a windscreen for roadworthy, depending on the particular inspector:
Although it is not perfect paint wise, it would make an excellent base for project car or a tidy reliable daily driver as is.
Car is located near Castlemaine in Victoria.
