Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    QLD 2001 mk4 Golf GLE, koni shocks, h&r springs, unmodified 2.0 engine - FOR SALE

    Hey guys,

    I'm afraid that the time has come to sell my precious 2.0 mk4 golf. It has less than 110 000 km on the clock and is clean. The list of improvements are as follows:

    Koni "yellow" shocks (lifetime warrenty, adjustable)
    H&R OE sport springs (20% stiffer than GTI, 1" lower than stock)
    Audi TT 16' alloy wheels
    Anzo LED tail-lights
    Phillips white headlight bulbs
    LED numberplate bulbs
    B&M shifter lever
    Leather shift boot
    HPA shift weight
    Custom 2.25' exhaust with twin exit
    Whiteline adjustable rear anti-roll bar
    Superpro polyuerethane swaybar bushes and gearbox bush

    All of this leads to a very well set up and balanced car. It handles better than a stock gti...

      Price is now $10750! I'm keen to get rid of this guys! It's sitting in the driveway under a car cover with the battery disconnected, I've got my new car this is just taking up space...

        The price is now$8900!. This is cheaper than equivalent unmodified golfs. Please come have a look if you are around, I know you will like it.

          What do you guys reckon I need to do to get this to sell? I bought it for 11k 3 years ago, and have since put about 4k into it, and I've only driven it 30k kms. What price do you think is reasonable?

            It looks great, really clean. But the market stinks. You'll never get your money back on mods, I know that sucks, but your $4k in mods is maybe worth $500 to a car buyer. You'll get more if you take them all out and sell them separately with a stock(ish) golf.

            Personally, I think $8900 is a really awesome price for this and if I was in the market, I'd have to consider it. But I'm not and unfortunately, neither are most other people.

              Okay I appreciate your advice, I know I'm not going to get my money back on mods but I was expecting that I would sell if similar price to other golfs with more kms haha...
