  • NSW malteser's 1995 VR6 for sale (not running)

The time has come to sell the VR6. The engine is out due to a burnt piston and is undriveable.

The list of parts the car comes with is extensive.
    • KW V2 Coilovers
    • 16" BBS RS with brand new Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE001s
    • VF Engineering Stage 2 Supercharger including piping, 30lb injectors, K&N filter and chip to suit 1994 VR6
    • Megasquirt ECU with Innovate LC1 Wideband O2 sensor
    • New front brake discs with new pads front and rear
    • Reconditioned steering rack with less than 1000km on it
    • New steering rack bushes
    • Polyurethane suspension bushes
    • Black Forest Industries Stage 1 Engine Mounts
    • Recently reconditioned manual gearbox
    • Clutch replaced with approx. 10 000km on it
    • recently replaced wheel bearings
    • Leather interior in very good condition
    • Completely replaced cooling system (heater core, crack pipe, thermostat housing etc)
    • Pioneer headunit with USB and iPod input and speakers
    • Original fog lights with factory fog light switch and smoked front and side indicators
    • Dieselgeek short shift kit
    • Lots of parts (another set of wheels as shown in my sig, a couple of extra headlights)

I'd prefer to sell the car complete. I'm looking for around $6000 and I'm open to reasonable offers. If it doesn't sell, I'll part it out.

Wow!!! Glws if only I wasn't on P's

Edit: what would be required to get the engine running?? Just the piston?? And also how hard would it be to remove the supercharger and then put it back on in a couple of years??

@Cookie28: The block would have to rebored as it's got some scoring on one of the cylinder walls. To be honest, it's probably best to drop another engine in. The ecu has really been set up for the charger which will need some tuning to get it running well, but there's no reason why it couldn't be tuned to run N/A. I've still got all the parts from before the charger.

@badgerboards: I'll keep that in mind if I part it

This would be an awesome project to stick an R32 engine in it

@stabbsy: Will let you know if the wheels get separated, but I'd be expecting $1700 for the wheels as they've got brand new tyres, less than 500km on them. Of course, I'd be open to offers when the time comes.

@robbie: Yeah, this is selling as an unfinished project. Its a perfect base for a conversion considering the suspension and new everything.

Hey Ray, I'll just have to remember all the fun on the cruises! It was such a mad little car, and quick with the supercharger.

I'm not sure of the power figures, but with the supercharger on and with stock injectors and stock ecu (far below the potential of the charger) it was about as quick, if not a bit faster than an 8L Audi S3. VF Engineering used to have a dyno graph of the power and torque increases but it seems to have been taken off their site.

Just for everyone interested in the charger, it I do separate, I'd take $2800 for it. For reference, its a Vortech V9 supercharger with all the bits to bolt on and go.

                            Thanks!

Did you need to have any internal work done to the engine prior to adding the S/C kit? Also is the car registered? Cheers
