Volkswagen Golf Mk3 vr6 1996/1997
Excellent example of a vr6, as you can notice all plastic components eg- side skirts, front spoiler, rear spoiler etc were all professionally painted in body colour with flex-agent additive. The red strip can easily be removed (decal) if desired. As the photos show the body has been kept in A1 condition and polished regularly to maintain that deep shine. 17x7.0 star-corp fusion wheels with kumo tyres (70% left rear and 80-90% left on front).
Engine: Running perfectly with no modifications other than the removal of the “suitcase” muffler (very restrictive this allowed the vr6 to generate its beautiful exhaust note). Intake filter change and platinum plugs. Performance upgrades were never considered, reliability was.
All fluid regularly replaced, including brakes and clutch (including bleeds) power steering, transmission (fully synthetic), fully synthetic oil used and coolant change. New Sachs heavy duty clutch, pressure plate and throw bearing installed 10 thousand ago (replace factory running clutch). New thermostat, New hall sender installed. Suspension- Eibach sport springs running on bilstein shocks. Rear shocks replaced 10000km ago. 98 octane used.
Interior: black velour/stainless knob. Leather is in great condition.
All four window regulators work strongly. However left rear cable is noisy, The health of the motor is strong. Air conditioning is icy cold and heater core has just been replaced.
Alarm decided to die but I have a BRAND new “steal mate” 5 button alarms that’s included just need installation.
Other than that the car is amazing, especially for over 16years old! Regretful sale but I need a larger car and I am definitely not prepared to use this car to transport goods, not worth the damage.
