QLD WANTED- MK4 Golf 2 L

Hey guys ,

I am in the market to purchase another MK4 Golf , I am not fussed on interior colours , exterior colours , I Just want a clean and tidy 2L with less than 150xxx klms . No accas , and all services up to date , most likely one after the 110xxx klms as the timing belt and water pump will have been sorted.
I dont mind interstate as well , more than happy to fly down to the right car and drive it back. Also under the 7.5K or so mark .

Hi I've got a bora for sale which is almost the same, same engine and things like that but it's got about 153 kms, I've got a for sale thread in my sig and PM if you have any questions (if you don't mind a bora that is!!)

will be tough to find one for 7.5k
my sister bought her 2L mk4 about 6 months ago for 8K, with 150k on the clock.
it was the cheapest by far at the time.

Thanks for ur replies. Would have loved that gti but was still waiting on bank to clear funds , only after a golf I've had one before and I loved it , i would just prefer a 2l

The 2l mk4 is shockingly slow, I mean the 1.8t isn't that quick but the engine is far far superior. You choice though but I wouldn't even contemplate the 2l

ive driven a few 1.6L, and their guttless!! i'm currently driving my sisters 2.0L and its not to shabby.. definitely not as gutsy as my valver but for everyday its nice.
leaving the GTI out of the equation, i'd rather a 2.0L in mk4

Sure if my budget extended into the 10k mark i would be able to pick up a nice GTI , but as it doesnt i have to take the next best thing , which i believe is the 2L , I could easily pick up another turbo car for that money but it would not be a VW and id rather be driving a vw

Let me know if you change your mind about a bora (they're the same apart from mine having a boot and a slightly different front end)

Didnt they make a mk4 golf in a 1.8L 20v na? im sure i saw 1 or 2 of them a while back.. but for that price im not sure what you'd get condition wise.

I believe this is true. I'm pretty sure my cousin owns a 1.8L

Yeah there is a 1.8L N/A , I looked at an Audi A3 last night and have been watching a few golfs , there is some out there but not alot ..
only time will tell
