  • VIC EOI: Mk3 ABF 4 Door

    Hi,

I think I've had enough of the mk3...

    Seeking expressions of interest.

Car will be sold as is, no RWC.
Currently has rego in Victoria till June 2012, but negotiable on sale.

1994 build mk3 golf 4 door in white.

    Non-stock parts:

    VW ABF 2.0L 16v as follows;
    Rebuilt in 2006 (30,000km's ago)
    New rings and bearings
    New gaskets
    New lifters
    New cam chain
    Port 'n' Polished Head

02A CDA cable shift and hydraulic clutch gearbox
Short Shift Kit - throw and side to side

Front and Side VF engineering engine mounts (never bought the matching rear mount)

Custom 4-1 extractors into 2.5" exhaust

    Cheap height adjustable coil overs

    FK angel eye headlights

    The bad:
Needs new exhaust flex joint after 4-1 collector
Cold starting requires about 10-15secs of slight throttle application before idling normally. I'm guessing it needs a new ISV and maybe a new ECU wiring loom (or repaired loom)
Broken front engine bracket ($165 from VW by special order - same as Mk3 Diesel manual)(stiff engine mounts did that)
All 4 quarter panels are damaged in some way (the price of running wide wheels)
    Sills are bent
    Random dings
    General wear and tear
    Needs new brake pads

    The not so bad:
Good bumpers, doors, tail gate, tail lights, seats, working air bags
    Car has roughly 115,000km's

    Does not come with:
    BMC CDA
    Nice wheels
    Stereo

In summary, this car needs a lot of work, but if you are interested, please PM me to get more info or make an offer...
I will provide honest answers to honest questions. I don't drive the car anymore but it served me well for 8 years.

    Photos on request.

Car located near Camberwell, Victoria. Recommend trailer pick up.

    ***Car comes as stated above***

    Thank you.

    Sean

How much do you think it would cost to get it back to a good running condition??

I can upload pics later, anything you specifically want a photo of?

I'm not going to guess on a cost to fix, I just want it gone.

                  Thanks!

Would make an awsome track car.

Damn. All that stuff would be easy to fix. Certainly would be a fun little car! A bargain at that price.
