  • VIC FS: 2000 Silver Mk4 Golf Gti - $13,000

    Hi all,

It is with much regret I am selling my little baby. I am a student and looking to head overseas at the start of next year, and with my girlfriend inheriting a car, it makes sense to sell as I need the cash!

It's a 2000 MTM badged model in Satin Silver, always kept clean. It's got 156,000k's on the clock, but all the services have been done professionally by Volkwerke (all receipts and service history kept). Car still runs really well, always run with 98 octane fuel and driven properly.

I have only had a couple of minor problems. First was the clutch pedal and cable that went late last year, this was replaced and the pedal welded making it stronger than original. The other was the alternator on the passenger side window that has obviously been replaced.

It has had the timing belt and water pump replaced with the metal impeller installed.

I just had the front brakes (discs and pads) replaced on the front, as well as two new tyres on the back. Front tyres I have had for less than a year, both front and back are Bridgestone's.<br>Also had the rear middle brake light replaced with LED's.
All of these above mentioned upgrades were part of the RWC, so the car is road worthy I just have to go back and get it signed off and I will get the certificate once I have a buyer.

The only issue I know of is the sunroof. It won't open. The motor works fine, but it is getting caught or jammed when trying to open completely, it will open up on the angle, just won't slide.

Car comes with the following mods:
    BBS17" RX wheels.
MTM Perfomance chip & exhaust system.
    Eibach Pro Kit Springs.
Pioneer DEH-P7950UB - USB car stereo with updated firmware to enable Ipod 4 connectivity.
    Repeller car alarm.
    Silver stubby antenna.
Body kit (unsure of type, but I think its OEM).

I will get some pics up next week, I am getting the car detailed first, so i suppose looking for some EOI!
Asking for $13,000 on here, and then she'll be going on carsales for a bit more.

PM me if you have any further info you require.

I'm currently looking at mk4 gti's . Found a few I'm keen to check out, they are around 3k cheaper than your asking price though. If you're happy to drop the price, im happy to be interested.

Any crash history or damage at all ? Also when does rego expire?

      Thanks mate,
      Leigh

Bodykit looks standard mate, but it is colourcoded which looks great!
Didnt know there was a MTM version...? Surely adds some value! good luck with sale.

          Hi Leigh,

          I just PM you

Rego is valid until next June.
And there has been no crash damage, just slight damage to the left rear wheel guard which I would be willing to knock a bit off the asking price to cover. Was going to get it done myself but my insurance excess is well over what it would cost to do.

          Thanks Dylan.
Yep, def like the colour coding
Not sure if it is from factory or previous owner fitted and badged it MTM himself, prob suggest the latter?

                    Hi mate,
how much hp does it push out? Is the chip modification written down somewhere, does it go harder than the standard gti?
Or is there even a mtm ecu in there? Mtm means motoren technik meyer, that a german vw tuner, they do some pretty good stuff. But always badged, even the exhaust should have mtm on it somewhere.
                    Regards

                      Volksaudi,

I've never had it dyno'd or personally seen it up on a hoist... But know it is much quicker than a standard one. My mate had a standard one and we both agreed it is much quicker. The guys at Volkwerke actually bought it to my attention re: the chip and exhaust.

More than happy for you to come and inspect and test drive if you like
