WA Mk1 or Mk2 GTI's For Sale

Why the hell aren't there ANY Mk1 or Mk2 GTIs for sale in WA?!?!!?!?
Am getting sooo frustrated!!
The closest ones i can find are in Adelaide...
There's one or 2 on carsales that are cheap and are not being snapped up FFS!!

Of course they are over east in Vic or NSW

Been trying gumtree, trading post and the Quokka...nothing

Anyone out there in Perth with an old GTI they don't want??

Good luck mate, won't be easy. Having said that, be patient, keep looking and something will pop up (As ultra rare as they are, I just picked up a 3 door Mk2 valver recently).

theyre around, just gotta find em, i got a 2 door mk2 gti about 6 months ago, there beenn 3 or 4 4 doors popping up on gumtree but they sell super quick, just be patient, itll pay off!

I know of a 4 door 8V, MK2 GTI in mint condition with a cam, MK3 brakes etc for sale. $5k

Shipping cars interstate is actually quite easy and not stupidly expensive, might be something worth looking into. Even better, jump on a plane and drive a car back, nice way to test it out and see the scenery

Have done both and agree, it is good fun! (especially driving a long distance in a nice classic car you have never driven before and which is now yours!)

nullabor is long a long enough drive for everything on the car to go wrong so should be all sorted by the time you reach perth!

South african import has been licensed before. Just had mk3 2L 16v slotted in and needs the laste 10% of wiring done. Unlincesed because it's a work in progress for the last 3 years. 1 day of wiring and it would have no problems passing the pits

Although its throwing tandrums with the carby at the moment and I am struggling to get it to idle properly with my zilch knowledge of carbs
