FOR SALE
SYDNEY AREA
In the past, I’ve said that I’d like best of both worlds having both the Golf GTI and Golf R in my garage for different purposes. Well, it’s sort of going to happen. Neighbour Ray has his almost fully loaded Golf R on its way to Australia, which will parked opposite my GTI. Almost the best of both worlds lol.
Ray will have his perfectly good Mark 5 Golf R32 for sale at the end of this month as his new Golf R arrives in July 2011. If any of you guys are interested in a Mark 5 Golf R32, PM me your number and I’ll pass it onto neighbour Ray to follow up. Ray is not registered & is a lurker on this forum.
Oh yeah ... details of Ray’s Golf R32:
MKV Golf R32
MY Oct 2007.
R32 Specific Blue Colour.
5 door.
Rear park sensors.
DSG.
Newer type R32 wheels.
Mileage: 37,500km.
Vehicle serviced by local dealer by time, not mileage: I.e. 2 years old was given 30,000km service even though mileage was only 20,000km. Air, fuel and oil filters changed between scheduled services. The vehicle has recently been fitted with Bridgestone RE050A tyres with no more than 5,000 km usage. The R32 just had its 7500km service today @ 37,500km. The vehicle is almost always garaged – work and home.
Additional Upgrades:
Front & Rear H&R solid adjustable sway bars - $1200.
Haldex Controller (aftermarket) - $1700.
Pioneer SATNAV and Car Stereo that store telephone numbers - $3500.
Bluetooth Kit - $800.
Aftermarket tinted windows fitted by dealer - $375.
The Golf R32 new car cost in 2007 was about $61K.
With aftermarket upgrades - $67K.
The Golf R32 is in excellent condition and any reputable mechanical inspection is welcome. Ray services the vehicle every 7,500km and has recently has the injector unit taken off for any carbon residue to be polished off (apparently our local dealer now offers this service) – yes ... Ray is that anal when it comes to servicing & looking after his pride and joy. Ray is the sort of guy that uses a toothbrush to clean behind the wheels and brake callipers when washing his beloved R32. I’m happy to personally vouch for this vehicle as I know Ray’s driving habits and how well he looks after this vehicle. This vehicle has never seen a race track & has never been involved in an accident. The R32 will be put on Carsales.com.au very soon and is most likely to hit the Prestige Auction Sales end of June 2011.
Sale Price: $40,000.
Cheers
WJ
