Don't be mistaken this car needs a full restoration inside and out but it is what it says a very rare early GTI.It has some rust like all early mk 1s but being a GTI worth the effort of repairing. It has the original FI Heron 1600 and 4 speed gearbox small rear tail lights as all 76 to 79 GTIs had, 5 speed boxes were introduced with the 80 models. It has been in storage for several years but was registered and driven when I purchased it.It has a couple of dents but on inspection has never been in an accident. It comes with some collected parts like a mint boot mat, correct "no cracks"dash, single and dual light grilles, metal bumper bars and end caps (although not black as original). The seats are correct sports ones but have been recovered sometime in its life as have the door panels (had 80s stereo and speakers once I'd say.)I will get some pictures shortly but will be going on ebay when that happens.

Seemingly a good price. From what I rememeber of that car, it was in shabby, but over all OK condition. Wonder how bad the rust has gotten.

I would not have hesitated if i didnt have a project to finish thats for sure! Ive seen it in the flesh no accidents just a little body work hear and their but still you need a good budget to finish it of properly. Then you have something sooo original !!
