Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC 1992 Show Winning Golf Sportline Cabriolet Expression of Interest

A very tough decision but I feel it is time to let my 1992 Sportline Cab go to a new home. I will not lower the price so don't ask. You wouldn't be able to build anything anywhere near the standard for twice what I'm asking. If you have you're own opinion, and it has nothing to do with the sale then please keep it to yourself.

1992 Golf GTi Sportline Cabriolet, 1800cc, 105,000 miles and one of only 449 sold in the UK. Possibly the only one in Australia. G60 front disc upgrade, K&W coilovers, bigbore exhaust. 6.5" front and 7" rear BBS Rm's, Custom leather Recaro interior, new Black mohair hood and custom mohair tonneau cover, Rare VW wind deflector, detailed engine bay & powder coated running gear, Audison Amp focal speakers and an Alpine Amp. The car is in immaculate condition and will also come with 16" Rare Porsche winter wheels and 5 x 130mm 30mm spacers. Too much really to list and also comes with spares such as clips N.O.S front grill, side trims and loads more. History and receipts galore.
Starts first time every time (weekend toy only)

    Bad bits;
Not many, If I'm being totally critical there is one small paint chip on the drivers side rear quarter, the electric roof motor resevoir cracked and therefore the roof can be raised and lowered manually only (only needs a minor part) Just can't be bothered looking for one. And the computer display doesn't work. Battery went dead approx 22 months ago and when I replaced that with a new Bosch S4 it failed to work.

Still, I feel I have taken all these into account with the price.
This cost me over $4000 to Import taking everything into consideration Fees, approval, Road worthy etc.
    To recap
    Show winning Cab
    2 sets of Rims
    Spares to boot
Price $15000 I'm located in the S.E suberbs if anyone wishes to veiw.
I will only let this go to a good home so genuine enquiries only.
I guess I will have missed things so feel free to contact me with any questions.
    Sorry no Part ex
    Thanks

Dude, this car is so mad, good luck with the sale!

I also traded recently my hobby for mortar and bricks, wasn't a good choice
