Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I didn't realise it cost that much to import, i thought the figure was around the $10k mark (not doubting or questioning the figure) i'll have to re-think my plotting's...

Be a shame if you have to sell this but if needs must good luck

        I'm sorry does that say $18,000? There's a 1.8t mk2 for $10k here..

I recommend keeping it as your daily, you won't save much selling and buying something else as a run around.

Guys, Dan was asking for interest in his car not looking for people telling him he is over the odds on price.

tbqh i saw the 18K and figured it to be a great buy! see at this level of rarity and uniqueness the price and value arguments go out the window. i saw it as clean and unique with a crazy engine and 18 seemed pretty decent. If you are selling, best of luck mate.

yes, it was arounf 10k to import but also another 4 just to rego and then plates and ive service the supercharger which wasnt cheap and did a full service of fluids.

only going off all the figures and it is a rare example in excellent condition

besides if it doesnt sell, ill just sell a kidney and keep the car

Keep it Dan! You'll regret selling it! Find other ways to fund the business. You could always claim it on a business write off- Use it for advertising.

But if you do, Can I borrow the child restraint bar please?

The G60 is a factory supercharged engine, not an aftermarket bolt on. There is a G60 moter for sale in the parts section.
