Regrettably I have to sell my Golf. My growing business necessitates the purchase of a larger vehicle; I will be sad to see this car go.
I purchased this car from the original elderly owners who had it since new. It is a very good example with no major accident history and mechanically in good working order.
I do not cut corners when it comes to maintenance, the following has been carried out in the last fortnight - less than 500km has been travelled since:
-Engine oil changed
-Oil filter changed
-Timing belt changed (brand new genuine VW)
-Timing belt tensioner changed (brand new genuine VW)
-Power steering belt changed (brand new genuine VW)
-Gearbox oil changed (Redline oil, best you can buy)
-Spark plugs replaced
-Air filter replaced
Drives, starts, runs perfectly. Starts first time, every time and has never let me down.
Cosmetically body is in good condition. There are a few scratches and minor dings but nothing major, paint is in good condition for a 15 year old car.
There are several flaws which are to be expected in a car of this age; nonetheless I'd rather not waste your time or mine so here they are:
-CD stacker in the boot doesn't work
-Rear passenger side power window doesn't go down
-Roof lining is sagging (~quoted $150 for a full retrim)
-Leather gear shifter boot is worn
Price: $4950 but open to reasonable offers
