VIC For Sale: Mk2 '84 16v GTI

• 1984 Golf GTI Mk2 16v 3 door
• 125k miles (Odo stopped at xmas, but not driven since Feb)
• Green (needs respray)
• Zender body kit (missing nose)
• Zender 15" wheels (195-50-15)
• Bilstein shocks
• Original black/green GTI interior & Recaros (which need restoring/replacing)

• Currently with volks affair (who are ace!): replaced starter, and oil & water temperature sensors in Jan
• Previously volkswagen guys in clifton hill (closed)
• Before that toni's prestige motors in south melbourne

History:

• Mk2 1984 model delivered to an Australian in Germany as an 8v. Bought back to Oz and had the 16v dropped in to replace the dull 8v.
• I think i'm the 3rd owner, buying off my Godparents in 2000.
• Was garaged until i went o/s 5 years ago, when it temporarily lived in Warranwood, now in Fitzroy.
• Would love to clean it up for the track as it's such a fun car to drive, but I just don't have the time.

Your optimism shall be rewarded... It's still registered! Still runs well. Just needs some love to fix up the gauges, seats, paint, etc... Basically it's ripe for a restore. I want to do it myself, but just don't have time on the weekends.

It's merely an optical illusion. He's actually in the midst of a loving embrace with this lovely old classic car. You just need to squint a bit.
