OK, I have too many toys and no time to enjoy this one.

Car is a 1987 Mk2 Golf, UK import, has been here for years, relatively rust free.

Interior is good, uncracked dash and perfect bolsters on the seats and new headlining.

Has 2L 2E Seat Ibiza GTI engine and full wiring loom fitted, runs great goes hard.
The rego papers show the correct engine number and capacity. No engineering for any engine swop as it is a personal import.

Has Mk3 Front Disk Brakes and Ibiza GTI swaybars.

Has Big Bumpers, although it originally had smalls. I can swop them if you must.

Currently has Borbet 16s on it with new tyres. Can negotiate with cheapskates as I dont mind keeping the wheels.

Exterior has faded paint a few dents and a couple of small rust patches. A quick spray and it would look brand new.

Structurally very solid no rot in chassis or floors.

Has brand new clutch and just had a service and new brake booster.

ONE YEARS NSW REGO.

Looking for $7500 as is.

I'm seriously considering this but are you able to source a 92 set of doors as I hate the mirrors on the door and the 1/4 glass. If I could source 2 doors then it may bring me into play and I may bite the bullet.

IMO, nothing wrong with 1/4 glass, but I agree the mirror position is abit odd, I need to turn my head more to check the passenger side mirror.

I just spent $1000 on NSW rego and will get $500 back if I cash it in.
I could leave it on there for a responsible buyer, but I want no speeding tickets, I get enough of my own.

It would cost 10k to bring a Mk2 from the UK and compliance it in Oz.

I paid $5500 for this one, with a rooted RV engine and trashed front bushes, rack and engine mount.

I have replaced the subframe with that from an Ibiza GTI, so it has the bigger swaybars. Put new engine mounts and clutch in at that time, that would have cost $1000 at least.

Then complete 2L EFI Golf 3 2L engine and loom swop and wiring to make it work with the Mk2 cluster. Close ratio diesel box to round it off.
Heaps of Labour. Theres a couple of grands worth too.

It has koni coilovers in the front and koni adjustable shocks in the rear. Dampener and height adjustable, $500 second hand at least.

5 Borbets with very new Continental 16" Tyres has to be worth $1000

Has a near mint interior with uncracked dash. Priceless, good luck finding one in Oz.

It probably owes me 9k in parts and lots of free labour.

A quick paint and it would be not faded and perfect.

Only for sale due to cash flow crisis and pending licence loss.

I can vouch for the hard work that Matt put into it, the before and after overall of this car!

before hand when he bought it the engine was shot, and the brakes were terrible worse than a mk1. Now wow what a complete difference and the power increase is nice too!
