    Volkswagen Mark 1 Golf GTD

Yes!!! Mark 1 Golf 1.6 litre Turbo Diesel 5 speed manual

Plenty of power (cruise all day at 100/110 Km/Hr) and economy can get under 5 litres per 100 Km if careful, under 6 litres if flogged (and that’s around town)

Very Good condition for age (1980) mechanically very sound, reliable and registered

A true VW enthusiasts’ car, fun to drive, family car for last 10 years, selling only to fund other interests.

Consider offers around $5000 due to unique nature of this vehicle contact Colin Mobile 0432 209 633

              AWESOMELY clean car.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but its not a genuine GTD, as far as I know they were all 1.5 NA diesels and 2 doors.

Its a 1.6TD conversion out of a mk2 and a dam fine car at that!

Mark 1 Golfs came to Australia as GLD 3 or 5 door 1.5 NA & 4 speed trans my understanding is this has a 1.6 turbo diesel and 5 speed trans the engine and trans probably came from Germany as the previous owner was German and imported vw parts/cars for restoration the main differences to the 1.5 diesel was longer stroke and bigger sump and extra plumbing for turbo/oil cooling

Have you got the car on Carsales? There's a hell of a lot more dubbers out there than on this forum!

Some constructive advice if I may put it on ebay with a reserve for a taste of the market value at the moment. You'll get 1000 rather than 100 views that way chief!
