Here's some info for anyone that's interested:
1976 model, 2 door mk1 golf
Car has a 1986-1989 1.8L engine, 4sp manual, new muffler, new windscreen, has recently had coolant, oil and oil filter change, new oil pressure switch, spark plugs, leads, fuel lines replaced,
fuel filter, had the electrics fully gone over by EFI. Runs really well. Tyres are nearly new on hotwire wheels, suspension is all in good order. There's a bunch of other stuff like new windscreen washer, etc. New registration plates, and registration until December. Roadworthy inspection cleared couple of weeks ago!
In the pics you may notice some primer/spray putty, there was some rust in these places that I wanted to cover
up to stop from being exposed and getting worse.. haven't had the chance to put the paint gun to it yet.
There are a few minor defects like some of the window seals may need replacing shortly, there's some rust here and there, wouldn't be
too difficult to repair. It did have some rust in the floor which has been repaired. It has a very slow oil leak, which doesn't seem to be a problem. I top it up once a month or so.
This would suit anyone who wants a reliable roadworthy daily car or a project... I'm asking $2,400 O.N.O. Hobart area.
