Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

It looks like a really nice little honest car, someone needs to go save it.

I bet they have had it on the yard for ages and would take an offer to get rid of it.

Looks like a pretty good body. I think I'm just partial to that colour.

                    thats the one.
It had $1500 on the windscreen.
Just roll in there with $900 in cash, hand it to the sales-schmuck and say "here, i'll drive it away right now!". Serious!

Been on ebay for ages too: 1977 Volkswagen Golf GLS Blue 4sp M Hatchback - eBay, Passenger Vehicles, Cars, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 21-Jun-10 15:13:13 AEST)

$1,990 or best offer - but click on the offer history and it shows 4 offers refused (all in April though).

Doesn't look like ol' Tony sells too many cars through ebay. $1,990 might be wishful thinking for this one though.

I know where the yard is - just haven't had the time to get down there. It's actually not too far from German Auto for those who might be close by.
