ACT WTB - Golf MkII GTI 16v - Do not Mind Location

Hi all,

I am interested in now getting a MkII GTI for myself.
I am not 100% on 16v but would prefer it.

Looking at something cheap, don't need front seats, carpet or fancy things.
Working gauges, wipers, switches, lights not needed either...
Wheels don't care, preferable with big bumpers, but if not, then don't care about small bumpers condition.
Paint condition doesn't matter, but the less rust the better.
Things like grilles in good nick would be nice.

If I get one I want to do a complete rebuild on the car, whole new interior, shocks, wheels, engine rebuild (turbo), trans and diff rebuild, new radiator etc.

If anyone finds something like this please let me know, I am hoping to spend around 0-2k
I know that asking price sounds low, but as I said I really just need a beater.

Fits your price range but dunno if its what your after. Probably wouldnt worry about the 16v criteria as theres not many out there and the engine alone would be worth over 1k I reckon. Plus if your going to stick a new motor in it anyway, who cares!

For that sort of budget you wont get much more than a real beater. Is it just me or are MkII prices generally getting higher?

Yeah I have seen that but for 1250 with no reserve met, seems a bit too much.
It is what I am after, but I am not sure about how I would go about the damage under the boot lid.
