Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

With all the mods it looks alright, but you know what they say about mods and adding to the price.

If you could be bothered pulling some off, you'd probably make more from that.

I'm sure someone would love to buy it in this form though, I would if I had the cash.

edit: The mag article certainly backs up the car alot, shouldn't take long to sell.

Sounds like a cracking motor got a dyno readout with the new turbo?

            IMO, it's far too high.

Mods typically add very little to the sale price of a car, even if (in this case) they are quality mods and extensive.

I'm afraid you just never make your money back on the modifications you do to a car.

edit: As suggested above, the best thing I would suggest you do is sell the parts off and sell the car separately in stock form. It's likely your best chance to recover the outlay you've spent on it.
Previous Rides: Polo GTI, Mx5 10AE, MY05 WRX WRP10, Renault Sport Clio 172
Current Ride: Evo 8 MR, Fabia MK3

I disagree break, when I'm looking for a car to buy, I'm happy to pay a premium for a car with mods done already. Obviosly not full retail, and not happy to pay for stuff I dont want, but still prepared to acknowledge the value that the previous owner has invested
