      Does the auto work??

Mk1 is probably faster than an auto vr6 too by the way.

The auto has been repaired. A costly exercise! As smooth as it was before.
It hasn't got me into trouble yet, just sick of it.
I want something old (what I meant by slow) and simple.
I'm steering clear of automatic & EFI cars for the rest of my life.

Not quite. Depending on the MK1, I'd be pretty easy about a cash adjustment.
I'd base the cash adjustment on my own need to clear some of the loan I purchased the VR6 with, not on the condition of the VR6 relative to the MK1.
              If that makes sense.

No, actually. It's being fixed at the moment. I'll get some ASAP though.
