I have an RS169 with 6 speed DSG. Very happy with the car and love the tech/practicality/luxury/power given the cost......however my 1 big gripe is the tune of the DSG. I previoulsy had a Golf Mk7 GTI which I think had the same DSG, I don;t recall it being anywhere near as bad....

The new beast arrived on Thursday afternoon after quite a bit of searching, looking at cars from Mercedes C250 wagons to Golf R wagons. We had a list of must haves that were: must be a wagon not an SUV (although I'd seriously considered a Golf Alltrack), not too large, petrol, not diesel, latest technology,...

I've had a MKV Jetta TDI which we bought brand new in 2006, it's been a faultless car the whole time, but it's now time to move it on after 12 years. We have been looking at a Skoda Octavia RS 169 wagon.

I can't seem to narrow down what DSG box is in the RS169. Is it a wet clutch or dry clutch unit?

I recall reading the RS162 was wet clutch but the RS169 went to dry clutch?
