I've had my 2017 Tiguan for 6 months now and I got a Tyre Pressure warning on the rear right tyre.
I went to the servo and noticed that all tyres were at 38 PSI except for the one I got a warning on.
Anyway, I reduced all tyres to 35 PSI which I believe is the recommended PSI...

Our new Polo recommends higher tyre pressure than I've ever seen before on a tyre placard. Actually close to what I'd put in anyway.
front 270kPa = 39 psi
rear 250-280kPa = 36-39 psi
spare 280 kPa = 39 psi
same pressure for tyres 185/60 R15 or 215/40 R17...
