I've just bought a 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI. I believe the colour is Indigo Blue. It is much more complicated than my MK4 Generation, and even more complicated than my first two Golfs which were both Mk1.

I'm signing up to the forum to try to learn more about the car's systems....

Head unit from my MK5 GTI. Factory though it was a dud but they just had bad firmware (now fixed) They sent me another complete unit which is now in the car and operating properly.

Hey all. My Amarok has sprung a random coolant leak (pretty bad) after a relatively short drive today. I can see roughly where the leak is *see image Imgur: The magic of the Internet

But I cannot get into the area to see properly without pulling apart half of the hoses in the engine....

does anyone know whats best to use on the waterpump union tube (to oil)... installed a replacement waterpump the other day and thought it was all gravy but after about 15 - 20 mins of letting the car run it leaking like crazy and making some crazy hissing sound like a hose or something has come loose...

Any recommendations on a good scanner around $100ish dollars doo's?

Prefer non Bluetooth as.ive bought one in the past (u-scan) and could never get it to work properly.

Now that I have an Amarok we are looking forward to using it on our property and towing/leisure/4wd. I will need some lessons on how to use it properly, but am excited by the challenge.

Is it normal to be able to lock car if some one hasn't closed one of the other doors properly.
I realise it will show door is not properly closed on dash display but if driver gets out first it isn't noticeable.
I think mirror indicator may not flash but that is hard to see if you are not...
