I'd like to kick off a project to hack the Discover head unit which would provide proper un-equalised 4V line outs for amplification.

As a start, does anyone have photos of the boards within the unit? Is it possible to get a schematic for these units?

Just realised I was supposed to post in here for my first post. I bought a GTI MK7 about 2 weeks ago brand new and have been hit with the mod bug already. Don't have photos of my car but its a standard GTI white. I cannot be bothered to take photos lol.

Just bought this off the forum, only to discover my car already had one fitted... so relisting it for what I paid. $100 pickup (in the inner north), $110 posted anywhere in Aus.
It's in perfect condition - and for what it's worth, the one I found on my car probably has about 80k kms on it and...

This can only be described as 'like new' condition. I have had this in storage for a number of years and since purchasing an R32 it has sat unused.
I can only imagine what one of these goes for at VW and whether they can be purchased anymore given the age of the car. Pre-owned ones these days...
