Hi all, I'm preparing to sell my Mk5 Golf 2.0 TDI, but would like to improve the internal look of it as it has suffered some minor cosmetic damage over the years.

There's a little compartment on the driver's side which you pull the handle and it opens down - it's to the left of the bonnet...

Anyone got any advice if this can be fixed outside of getting the dealer to fix it. tailgate opens and closed as it should however does not lock.
